A look into the lives of our Community Creatives
What inspired you to venture into videography?
"Growing up my dad owned a tv repair shop, so I watched a lot a lot of tv. And commercials always stood out to me, because they were captivating, fun and memorable. Once I got a camera in high school I tried to remake mock commercials with my friends lols"
"I'll say I don’t have a set video style for now. I’m still exploring and dabbling with different styles, trying to learn different techniques. But I do find myself gravitating towards creating short form and more fast pace videos."
"I want to entertain people! I rely on music a lot, so naturally the music elicit certain types of emotion. Like when the music slows down then there's a beat drop and video matches that with a series of fast cuts, usually it creates a small rush of adrenaline, at least when I’m watching it lols. It’s fun to create and hopefully to watch!"
"Being a petite female, I struggle with sleeves being too long, pants too long etc. Having good fitting clothes means I can wear it straight out of the box without tailoring."
"I’m a software engineer at Instagram! My team focuses on creators, so we build various features with creators in mind ranging from tools to help creators engage with their community to tools to help them monetize on IG. On the side, I've been interested in contributing to the mental health space and started a self-journaling app a while ago https://www.imthankful.io/. (Still work in progress, so early feedback is welcomed!)
"Bali!"
"Sugar by BROCKHAMPTON."
"Lately it's been my iPhone - it’s sooooo handy and it’s always with me."
"Anywhere! Tbh the people/talent matter most. So anywhere I could create content."
"The Blue Skies."
