A look into the lives of our Community Creatives
What inspired you to venture into motion designer?
"I started to learn motion graphics because friends of mine needed interesting looking end credits for their short films. I found out that I really enjoyed combining text and image animations to create aesthetic sequences. I even started to take my favorite comic frames and animate them, which I had a lot of fun with."
"I’m still solidifying my style as I love experimenting, but I really love making colorful and striking imagery coupled with fluid animation. Even with comic book style clips I enjoy smooth transitions that are satisfying to the viewer. Also, in both more branded content and comic style content, I like giving the motion weight and life so that each movement feels very concrete and satisfying."
"For me when it comes to motion graphics and design the process is so much fun, and If someone finds something I make nice to look at or is entertained by the more parody graphics I do, that makes me really happy. It sounds very simple but I think I like creating art that people see and think, “That looks really cool” or “I had fun watching this.” If anything I hope to encourage more people to make something they really enjoy and keep passing on positivity to each other. On the film side I very much enjoy making stories that center on human beings, experiences and emotions both in humorous and more serious ways."
"To me, a good fitting shirt is comfortable and breathable allowing for both layered wear and activity without overheating or too much stiffness. It also can’t be too loose so that it feels secure on my body."
"I mainly freelance as a video editor, colorist and motion designer. I’ve also been dabbling in graphic design and event photography, which is all at https://srgandhi.myportfolio.com."
"Hmm probably “Let Go” by Jolly."
"Casual: Jeans and a Tshirt, maybe with a cardigan or summer jacket. Formal: Corduroy jacket, dark colored button down shirt, black pants."
"Probably jackets or bowties. I was a huge tie geek back in middle and high school."
"Plum Purple patterned dress shirt. I like me some dark purple."
