A look into the lives of our Community Creatives
What inspired you to venture into photography?
"I was working as a model for a while and got curious about the other side of the lens. I started shooting my friends, and it took off from there."
"Rich, natural coloring with a semi-nostalgic touch. I like to photograph both people and inanimate objects that catch my eye. For people, I enjoy the challenges of shooting fashion, but like the simpleness of beauty and portrait photography."
"I don’t think you can predict or control how people will react to my work. Right now I’m really into William Eggleston because he’s able to make me pause and think a bit longer about the subjects and objects in his photos while also having vivid, warm coloring. I’m focused on how to continually improve myself and make the work I want to make."
"A good fitting shirt means I’m comfy and stylish. I like classic basics made out of quality materials."
"In addition to photography, I work as a private piano and flute teacher. Before I dived into photography, I was a classical musician. It was actually my major in college. I’m also signed as a model with Brand Models—I just haven’t been as active recently. The dream is to be able to work as a photographer/creative director, full time."
"Taiwan or Japan."
"'Before the Fever' by Grimes."
"50 mm."
"My front yard."
"I don’t wear collared shirts, but I like the collar stays! They’re pretty."
