Founded & Inspired by Asian Americans

Nimble Made is a fashion brand focused on increasing representation for Asian American Pacific Islanders

Founded in 2018, Nimble Made was created by co-founders Wesley and Tanya, who were inspired to tell their stories:

"I just wanted shirts that fit"

For me, finding a good fit was something very personal. With a background in Finance, it was always hard for me to find a dress shirt to fit my Asian body type well and it was something that I had to wear every day. It was baffling that I could never express myself properly in a professional way. For my peers, it was a simple sizing choice. Yet everywhere I turned, the fashion industry excludes Asian and other men of color with sizing standards that average out slimmer body types.

I built Nimble Made to bring more representation for Asian American Pacific Islanders and other minority men, starting with more inclusion in sizing standards in fashion.

"My dad always said "American dress shirts don't fit me"

I remember going from store to store with my dad after finally convincing him to splurge a little on himself. When it came to finding a crisp new dress shirt, he'd say right off the bat, "American dress shirts don't fit me."

I realized I would often hear the same issues from many of my friends, especially Asian Americans, other AAPIs, and people of color with leaner body types. They couldn't find a good quality, well-fitting dress shirt in the US without having to pay a premium or shop in the Junior section. I see whole brands and lines of clothing dedicated to petite women, but nothing similar catering to AAPI and slim men.

I want to be a part of changing the dynamic clothing landscape and drive awareness of Asian culture through the lens of thoughtfully crafted goods.

We're more than a clothing company. We stand for:

AAPI Representation

Our everyday actions stem from our roots. As Asian-American founders, we believe in nothing more than to bring representation to our community and beyond. We strive to create more dialogue by redefining sizing standards in the fashion industry and connect with like-minded people in other industries who share the same goals.

Quality and Ethics

We take pride in the quality of our products. We stand for high-quality products created through ethical standards. Our dress shirts are 100% long-staple cotton, which demands a certain level of durability, breathability, and versatility. We work very closely with our partners to ensure a safe working environment and fair treatment of workers.

Where applicable, our suppliers also have OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification to ensure the safety of our products.

Value

We don't charge you a premium for the right fit. We understand that a meaningful mission and good quality doesn't have to mean expensive products. That's why we don't price anything above $80 and offer free shipping and returns on all orders because, trust us, we've been there too.

What's Next?

We've started with dress shirts because we understand they are worn to life's most important occasions from your first job interview, to date night, to your sister's wedding. But we're not stopping there.

We're looking to collaborate with like-minded partners and communities to celebrate these moments and create new ones together. Get in touch with us for partnerships, or for just a chat! Stay tuned for more products, talks and updates to our mission—we can't do it without you.
